Thank You Enterprise Rent-a-Car

June 15, 2011 marked the 11th annual Enterprise Rent-a-Car (ERAC) Golf Tournament benefiting Special Olympics MA’s South Section. Lead by long-time volunteers and ERAC employees Jim Curtis and Doug Valeri, this tournament has become a flagship fundraiser for our organization. From tee sponsors to foursome registrations to a silent auction, ERAC took giant strides to raise money for the athletes of the South Section. endeavors, ERAC employees have volunteered at the Brockton School Day Games track & field meet each May for the last five years. These volunteers continue to make an impact on our athlete’s lives year after year.

The 2011 Golf Tournament netted $53,559.68! This total jumped from $42,681 in 2010. This year’s tournament brought in 148 golfers from all overMassachusettsand beyond. With Jim and Doug’s leadership, amazing silent auction, live auction and raffle prizes were donated and bid on adding to the already record-breaking total.  “Jim, Doug and the whole ERAC team continue to amaze and inspire me each and every year,” sated Meg Hoffman, South Section Director. “ They continue to find new, innovative and fun ways to raise money. This event isn’t just your regular golf tournament; it’s an experience that participants look forward to every year. I can’t tell you how many golfers say this event is their favorite day of the year.”
