Melissa Reilly is a driven alpine skier who has won three gold medals at the SOMA winter games. Yet she never takes her training so seriously that she forgets to smile. She competes in various sports, but she is particularly passionate about alpine skiing. Melissa also competes in the Diana Golden Mills Cup annually, finishing first in the last two years.
Melissa is one of the most well-rounded athletes that currently participates in Special Olympics. Aside from her training, she represents Special Olympics as a Global Messenger, frequently speaking to civic and corporate groups. If all this weren’t impressive enough, Melissa also interns at the Massachusetts State House. She will be one of seven delegates representing Massachusetts and the U.S.A. when she competes in the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
