Sam Belinksy of Shrewsbury, MA is a Special Olympics athlete in powerlifting. He’s broken state USAPL (USA Powerlifting) records at and outside of Special Olympics competitions. He’s been invited and competed in powerlifting events in the Caribbean, and will be competing this summer at the Special Olympics USA Games in New Jersey.

At 20 years old, aside from keeping up a weekly powerlifting regimen, Sam works a part-time job while going to Mount Wachusett Community College for a degree in Fitness Leadership & Exercise Science.


Sam’s current max lifts are: 342-pound bench, 507-pound deadlift, 419-pound squat.

His goals for USA Games are: 352-pound bench, 530-550-pound deadlift, 450-pound squat.
